The Waxers U12 A1 team is hosting the Stouffville Clippers on Sunday, November 26th at 3:30 pm at Angus Glen Community Centre Arena and using this opportunity to raise funds and awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society.
The team will run “Find the Joker” and sell popcorn to raise funds.Donations can be made athttps://fundraisemyway.cancer.ca/participant/MarkhamWaxersU12A1Tax receipts available for online donations of $5.00 or more with valid email address provided.
Nearly half of Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, and the hockey community is no exception. We are determined to make a difference by fundraising for Hockey Fights Cancer Assist! TM. Please support us and donate today to provide compassionate support services when they are needed most, such as accommodations during cancer treatment, transportation to and from appointments and reliable, trusted information to make life better for people living with cancer.
Everyone on our team has their own reasons for participating in Hockey Fights CancerTM, but one thing unites us all: a belief that no one should face cancer alone. And with your support, we can help ensure no one does. In addition to raising awareness and support of people with cancer and their families we are raising funds for the Canadian Cancer Society through donations, a 50/50 raffle, and concession sales.
The Markham Waxers U12 A1 hockey team includes 17 enthusiastic, young hockey players and is supported by a team of coaches and volunteers.100% of donations benefit the Canadian Cancer Society to help fund research, information and support services.
