Understanding Discrimination based on Gender Identity and Gender Expression

The Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) is pleased to announce the launch of a new training module for team officials, to support trans-inclusive hockey in Ontario, Understanding Discrimination based on Gender Identity and Gender Expression Training.

There are two modules which will educate team officials on this important topic. All team officials will require an eHockey account in the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) in order to register for and complete the two modules. Once completed, notification will be posted to the team officials’ member profile on the HCR.

All coaches, trainers, and on-ice volunteers must complete the Gender Identity course to be rostered for the 2017-2018 hockey season.

Complete the Modules

  1. If you don't already have one, set up an eHockey account.
  2. Register for the clinic. Ignore the location listed-this is an online course.
  3. Log into your eHockey account.
  4. Select the participant you want to register for the course. This is YOU, not your child! If you take it under your child's ID, you will have to retake the course under your own ID.
  5. Checkout. There is no cost for the course, but you must checkout to complete the registration process.
  6. On the screen after checkout, note the supported devices.
  7. Completing checkout will trigger an automated email to the account used in your eHockey account confirming your registration with a link to access the modules.
  8. Launch the program modules at www.ohfhnoheo.com.
  9. Login using your eHockey account credentials.
  10. Complete both modules.
  11. You will not receive a certificate upon completion, but may verify completion by checking your eHockey account.
