Minor Atom A September Showdown Champs
The Markham Waxers Minor Atom A Team are tournament champions! This was the first tournament of the season and the team showed passion, perseverance, and a strong team effort at the Waxers September Showdown Tournament. 

The team lost their opening game to Peterborough in a close game, with the winning goal coming in the last 5 minutes, and an empty netter to seal the deal.

The team bounced back, winning all remaining games of the tournament to qualify for the championships, and earn the chance to face Peterborough one more time.  The team battled hard and was determined not to give up any goals, going on to win the championship game 3-0.
