Are you looking to clean out some of that gently used hockey equipment that is too small for your child? Would you like to see it put to good use in our community? Would you like to support those in our community who need a little financial help to play hockey?
If you answered yes, please consider donating your gently used hockey equipment to the Markham Waxers for use in our seventh annual equipment swap taking place Saturday August 20th.
Last year’s swap was bigger than ever but we need more equipment for this year’s swap.
How do you donate?
Drop off your equipment at the Waxers office before the swap any time during office hours, or Arrange pickup of your equipment by emailing Waxers Administrator Deb Larsen. Porch pickup dates will be arranged on Tuesday August 16th and Thursday August 18th. Pickup area includes 404 to 9th Line and Stouffville Side Road to Steeles.
The Waxers will sell the equipment at $10 or less per item (except goalie equipment), which provides our community with access to quality hockey equipment at bargain prices keeping the cost of playing hockey at as reasonable a level as possible.
Proceeds made from the sale of the equipment go to the Waxers Yes, You Can Play! fund, which helps pay for registration fees for those in our community who otherwise would not be able to afford to play hockey. It’s a win-win situation
