Welcome to the Markham Waxers Minor Atom Select Team!
Our team consists of a group of 16 enthusiastic 8 and 9 year olds who reside in the Markham area. This team provides players with an introduction to rep hockey and we are looking forward to a really fun year for the kids.

Our team philosophy allows for a positive and fun environment for young children to enjoy the game of hockey.  We believe that hockey is a life skill. It builds athletes but more importantly, it builds character. Our young players will not only develop hockey skills but will work on fundamental life elements including teamwork, leadership, discipline, and responsibility.

Not all players will pursue a future in hockey but some may choose to volunteer their time to become coaches and be positive role models for our children and grandchildren. At the very least, they will foster a love for this amazing Canadian National sport and carry it with them throughout their lifetime.

Most importantly, we want the kids to have fun! We are looking forward to a great season!
