Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. Simply put, without them we wouldn't exist. We come together as a group of volunteers to offer the children in our community a chance to learn and play Canada's game. Volunteering is a very rewarding experience. It's an opportunity to make a positive influence on a child's life, both on and off the ice.
Our governing bodies—Hockey Canada, Ontario Hockey Federation, and Ontario Minor Hockey Association—have certification requirements for volunteers to ensure the safety and well-being of players. These include Vulnerable Sector Checks (VSCs) and other training programs to create a safe and positive environment for youth in hockey.
