And So It Begins - by Chris Green
Autumn has arrived! And with it has come the start of hockey season.

Our Minor Atom Select team is off to a wonderful start to the year. They have been practicing very hard over the last month and are starting to come together wonderfully as a team. Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful sponsors the kids have received their jerseys, jackets and hats and are really starting to look like a team. All the kids have been assigned positions now and the practices have been focused on teaching the fundamentals of positional play and of course skating, skating and more skating.

Just as important as the kids getting to know one another is the parents meeting and enjoying time together at the rink. We are so fortunate to have such a great group of involved parents. Everyone has really enjoyed meeting each other and we are all looking forward to the season starting and taking some road trips together to watch the boys play.

It’s game on! Saturday October 22nd at 8:30p.m is our first game. We are playing an exhibition game against Uxbridge. The boys will be ready and it should be a wonderful time full of excitement. Go Waxers Go!!!
