PLANNING A SAFE RETURN TO HOCKEY COURSE
New for 2020-2021: All Team Officials (Coach, Trainer & Manager) are required to complete Hockey University – Planning a Safe Return to Hockey, available at no cost to the individual.

The OMHA, along with the OHF and Hockey Canada, have worked diligently on a Return to Hockey plan based on direction from governments and public health authorities. There a number of resources to support and inform administrators, players, parents, coaches, trainers, officials and volunteers on how to navigate the challenges presented by COVID-19 through frequently asked questions.

In order to participate as a team official (coach, trainer, manager) during the 2020-2021 hockey season, all participants are required to complete the Hockey University: Planning a Safe Return to Hockey course. The course is online and free of charge.

The program looks at some key information to know to help to reduce the risk of COVID-19 in the hockey environment. Throughout the module detailed information will be reviewed on specific prevention topics and encourage all to become familiar with the Public Health Authority guidelines and restrictions and the Hockey Canada Safety Guidelines.

All minor hockey participants are encouraged to read the Hockey Canada Return to Play Guidelines and the OHF Return to Play Framework for the most up-to-date and important information concerning the safety protocols for Return to Hockey. Hockey Canada has developed an online course to ensure everyone have as much information as possible to prepare.
