Players from the Markham Waxers hockey team assisted Global Medic on Saturday in helping millions abroad in possible disaster zones. Rahul Singh, Toronto Paramedic and executive director of GlobalMedic, said roughly 40 boys, coaches, siblings, and parents did an “awesome job” in three hours at their south Etobicoke warehouse, achieving a goal of putting together upwards of 1,200 kits to be distributed around the world when emergencies strike.
