Atom Teams Shine at Peterborough Liftlock Atom Tournament

Congratulations to both the Atom A and Atom AE teams after a successful weekend representing the Waxers at the Peterborough Liftlock Atom Hockey Tournament Jan 12-14th.  

The A team was 1-1-1 at the end of round robin play having been slotted into a tough bracket. Markham beat the Meadowville Hawks 3-2 in the consolation semi-final and went on to face the Toronto Wolverines in the B final game.  After falling behind 2-0 in the first period, the Waxers showed showed solid determination storming back to beat their GTA opponents 4-2.

Great teamwork and solid efforts by everyone on the team!

The AE team was undefeated during round robin play finishing first in their division.  They played a tough semi-final game, falling to the West London Hawks. 

Advancing to the consolation finals, they dominated the Kitchener Rangers winning 3-0!  Great teamwork, perseverance and hardwork paid off bringing home the win!
