Markham Waxers Atom Selects raise over $3000 for the Terry Fox Run!
Submitted By Deb Larsen on Wednesday, October 11, 2017
The Markham Waxers Atom Select team had the honour of participating in a wonderful opportunity this year thanks to the inspiration of one of our sponsors – Jade Consulting.

On Sunday, September 17 the team participated in the 2017 Terry Fox Run!  The goal was to work together as a team to help other people, while at the same time participate in an event that inspired healthy living for our kids.

All players were asked to raise as much money as they could and we are very proud to announce that we surpassed our original team goal of $1000 and ended up raising over $3000! A big congratulations to all of the players and families who worked so hard to support Terry Fox’s vision of “a world without cancer”.

Thank you as well to Jade Consulting who provided t-shirts for all of the kids.  The shirt included the following inspirational quote from Terry Fox himself:

I want to set an example that will never be forgotten
– Terry Fox

We’re so pleased that the kids set a great example for themselves and for others on the positive power of a team and the importance of contributing to you community & helping other people.

The kids were included in the “Snapd Markham Terry Fox Run Postscript of the event.

Way to Go Waxers!
