Organization - Learn Hockey with the First Shift Program
Submitted By Deb Larsen on Fri 02 10, 23

The Markham Waxers are excited to announce that we will be hosting the NHL/NHLPA FIRST SHIFT program. This six-week program is designed to ensure a positive experience for new-to-hockey families. It kicks off with a welcome event on March 23, 2023 where kids will receive their hockey gear. Then the participants will hit the ice for six weeks of instruction on a wide variety of skating, puck handling, passing, and shooting exercises as well as small area games.

The program is open to Markham residents who are born between 2012 and 2017 and have never registered to play organized hockey before.

This lost cost/low commitment opportunity to try hockey costs $229 and includes all required equipment as well as the six on-ice training sessions with expert hockey development instructors.

Spots are limited, so register early!

For more information about the program, please visit www.firstshift.ca.

To register for the program, please email us at [email protected].

See you at the rink!
