U11AA Toronto Aeros Mark Woszczyna Champions
Congratulations to the Markham Waxers U11 AA team who won the Toronto Aeros Mark Woszczyna Championship on the weekend.

The team regrouped after a tough loss in the first game of the tournament to come back and lock up second place and a rematch against the first seeded Caledon Hawks in the finals.

The final was a tightly fought battle with the Waxers pulling ahead 1-0 early in the second period. The team pulled together and tightened up to shut the door on Caledon the rest of the way and preserve the 1-0 win.

The win was a great team effort with all players putting team play ahead of any personal stats on route to winning the championship. Special shout out to all the parents who showed up and brought the noise as they cheered and helped to give the extra boost the kids needed.

The coaching staff couldn’t be prouder of all the players on this well deserved win.
