U13, HL (Markham Waxers)

The Markham Waxers Hockey organization is mourning the devasting loss of longtime coach and hockey development instructor Scott Badali. Scott bravely fought a battle with melanoma, but passed away on December 14, 2024, one month before his 40th birthday.  We are proud to say that Scott was a rostered Waxers coach and trainer for over eight years. Scott was a part of our Hockey Development leadership group since it began over ten years ago. He worked with players of all skill levels and at all age levels at both the house league and rep levels.

On December 17th the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF), the governing body of Ontario Minor Hockey, announced historic changes to its Player Movement Regulations to take affect during the 2025-2026 season for all players at the Representative level from U10-U18.  We understand this is a monumental change – one of the biggest changes ever for minor hockey in Ontario, driven by a desire to make things fair, consistent, fun and to give our players all the options and opportunities they desire. 

The MMHA Hockey Development Program is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the following Winter 2025 Development Clinics. Both our Player and Goalie Development Clinics provide our players an opportunity for additional skill instruction by professional instructors throughout the hockey season. 

Stepping into Canadiens territory, these Maple Leafs fans didn’t come up empty. After enjoying an exciting NHL game at the Bell Centre and running on less than usual sleep, our Waxers U13 A2 team emerged as the Bouchard Division U13 Champions at this past weekend's CAN/AM Tournament in Montreal!

The Waxers U18 AAA team had a great weekend in Sudbury!
