U12 BB Win Silver
Congratulations to the Markham Waxers U12 BB team who came home with the silver medal from the recent Memorial Representative Hockey Tournament in Windsor/Belle River held from December 2 to 4.

The team started slowly in the first game of the round robin with a 6-0 loss to the Halton Hills Thunder, but the team then reeled off three straight wins against the Flamborough Sabres, Brampton 45s, and Centre Wellington Fusion. This set up a semi-final clash against league rival Newmarket. It was an exciting and tense back and forth game, with the Waxers coming out on top 2-1 to set up a final  rematch against Halton Hills. This game took on a completely different complexion than the round robin game with both teams exchanging leads, with Halton Hills holding on against a late Waxer barrage, to eke out a 4-3 win.

Congrats to all of the players and coaching staff for the dedication and resolve they showed throughout the tournament. And thanks again to all the parents and families for a memorable weekend!
