2025 marks the 12th anniversary of the Markham Waxers Neil Bullock Scholarship. Any player in their last year of secondary school and rostered to a Markham Waxers rep or house league team is eligible.

Markham Waxers Neil Bullock Scholarship

Award

One $500 award for post-secondary education each for rep and house league.

Eligibility

Any player in their last year of secondary school and rostered to a Markham Waxers rep or house league team is eligible.

Application

All applicants must complete our online form which includes the following:

  • Completed application form
  • Essay (250 to 1,000 words) on “Why I play minor hockey and the life lessons I have learned over my minor hockey career
  • First report card of the current school year

Applicants will be evaluated based on the submission and completion of all three documents.

Submission

Complete our online application and upload your essay and report card. 

Deadline

Essays are to be received no later than April 1.

Notification

The winner will be announced at the annual Markham Waxers Players’ Banquet.

Ownership

All essays submitted become the property of the Markham Waxers.
