Waxers Minor Peewee A say thank you to our Health Heroes

The Markham Waxers Minor Peewee A Team is staying connected through weekly Zoom sessions. Mondays, topic is “The Players Platform” where players have the option to chat, play video games with one another, and re-connect as a team.  "Coaches Corner with Coach Ryno” happens on Wednesdays. Game video from this season is streamed and discussed. It's an opportunity to both teach and acknowledge all the good things the team has achieved together. 

At the conclusion of the Wednesday session, Coach Ryno issues a weekly “Coaches Challenge.” Week 1 was “Beat the Streak" (consecutive puck flip challenge), week 2 was “Video Game Master” (play a video game with each of your other 16  teammates), week 3 was “THANKS HEALTH HEROES.” We created a team photo collage to send out far and wide to show our support to the frontline hospital and medical staff that dedicate their lives daily to take care of us. 

The challenges created by this pandemic may continue, but we can always find ways to uplift and support one another during this difficult time!
