Waxers are West Hill Shamrock U8 Tier 1 Champions!
Congratulations to the Markham Waxers U8 MD team for winning the West Hill Shamrock tournament April 7-9, 2023.

The team finished first in the round robin winning three games with only one overtime loss. This set up a game against the host team, the West Hill Golden Hawks, in the finals.

The finals were a very tightly fought battle with West Hill drawing first blood. Even though the Waxers were carrying the play in the first half, we were down 1-0. In the second half the Waxers continued to battle and we able to score three straight goals. West Hill managed to score their 2nd goal with about four minutes left but the Waxers were able to withstand their late charge and claimed the championship title, 3-2.

The coaching staff would like to thank all the parents for their time and efforts over the Easter weekend and throughout the year. Lastly, the coaching staff could not have been prouder of how the team competed and fought for this championship.
