Respect Programs Free until April 30
Submitted By Deb Larsen on Thu 02 23, 23
Calling all Canadian hockey families and coaches! We know Canadians want to make the game we all love more welcoming for everyone – especially our kids. That’s why Canadian Tire is thrilled to bring you access to several Respect Group programs at no cost from February 21st till April 30th.

These critical tools are part of Canadian Tire and Respect Group’s ongoing commitment to players, parents, family members, caregivers, coaches and officials. They empower us to be the best we can be so we can all enjoy hockey together.

Thanks to Canadian Tire this training is available at no cost until April 30, 2023.

Here's a quick snapshot of the first programs being provided across the country. These positive, proactive programs offer an opportunity, for all of us, to help ensure a safe and respectful hockey culture.

RESPECT IN SPORT FOR PARENTS
As a parent/family member/caregiver, you play a critical role in your child's positive hockey experience. This program helps provide you with the tools and insights to be even more supportive.

RESPECT IN SPORT FOR OFFICIALS
Officials are key to the success of the game and, beyond the rules, need to understand their 'duty of care'. If you are an Official or interested in a new perspective, this Program is for you.

KEEPING GIRLS IN SPORT Adolescent girls leave sport at a rate of 2:1 to boys, so keeping them engaged requires greater understanding of their needs. For coaches or parents of young girls, this is an important program.

STAY IN THE GAME
Designed specifically for players 10-12 years old, this program helps give your kids insights on finding their voice, helping to keep it safe and having FUN. Parents and kids, take it together!
