Waxers U14 MD Team are York Simcoe Champs!
The Markham Waxers U14 MD Team have been crowned 2021-2022 York Simcoe Champions!

After completing their regular season with an impressive record of 22-1-1, The U14MD Waxers continued to dominate with their style of masterful play throughout and remained undefeated through the York Simcoe Playoff rounds.  The team overcame long drives to and from Barrie, the host city, early game times, and inclement weather over the 2 week period in which the playoffs took place.

The U14MD Waxers clinched 1st place after round robin play with a 2-0-1 record, establishingsemi-final match up vs. the spirited Newmarket Renegades.  When the final buzzer sounded, our team emerged victorious with a convincing 8-2 win, ensuring a championship match vs. the hometown Barrie Colts.

Approaching the final championship game, despite being the “home” team our boys entered a pro-Barrie Colts environment. The Waxers absorbed the early surge of energy from the attacking Colts and returned fire to end the 1st period with a commanding 3-0 lead.  The seesaw battle continued with Barrie scoring a goal to cut the lead to 3-1 early on in the 2nd period.  Our boys outworked their opponents once again with their discipline and skill, resulting in a solid finish to the 2nd period with a score of 5-1.  After a few close calls by the Colts, the U14MD Waxers scored a 6th and final goal to seal the deal and become the 2021-2022 York Simcoe Champions!

The Markham Waxers U14MD Team would like to graciously thank the Newmarket Renegades, Stouffville Clippers, and the Barrie Colts for an exhilarating and unforgettable playoff series.

Our biggest thank you as always goes out to all our U14MD Waxers families and friends for all of their support this 2021-2022 season, and most certainly a whopping congratulations to all of the Markham Waxers U14MD Champions:  Kish, Vinny, Jack, Kevy, Wanger, Brando, Anthony, Mats, Evan, Knighty, Ryden, Cambo, Yanger, Terry, Marcus, Pagsie, Coach Ryno, Coach Brad, Coach Sal, Coach Jeff, Trainer Jill and Team Manager Richard.
