Andrew Miller

Andrew grew up playing hockey in Scarborough and continues to this day.  He has three kids, two of who play for the Waxers (the third prefers dance!)

Hockey has always and continues to be a big part of Andrew's life.  As a coach, he looks to instil three things in his players:  hustle, commitment, and teamwork.

The team will work hard, execute the team strategy, and stick up for each other.  And we'll have some fun along the way too!×

Jerome Wong

With a passion for sports, fitness, and player development, Jerome Wong brings dedication, energy, and a gamete of experience to the rink. A committed member of the hockey community, Jerome has volunteered as a trainer for the Markham Waxers, where he supported player development and team success.

Outside of hockey, Jerome is an avid cyclist, runner, and golfer, and also trained in martial arts—disciplines that fuel his belief in the value of well-rounded athleticism. His commitment to giving back extends beyond the rink, having participated in the Ride to Conquer Cancer to support critical cancer research.

Jerome’s coaching philosophy centers on building confidence, fostering teamwork, and instilling an enjoyment for the game—all while helping athletes reach their full potential on and off the ice.×

Alan Caulfeild-Browne

Alan has been a dedicated Waxers volunteer for over 10 years, across House League, Select, and BB levels.

As a father of two with very different personalities, Alan brings a flexible and thoughtful approach to coaching—focused on helping players love the game, push themselves to improve, and embrace a competitive mindset.

His own hockey journey began on frozen ponds in Mississauga, pretending to be Salming or Sittler. Today, he still plays shinny a couple of times a week and continues to sharpen his skills through power skating and development courses. Alan’s lifelong passion for hockey drives his commitment to helping young players grow both on and off the ice.×

Ken Bona

Ken has been involved in hockey throughout his life, first as a player competing in High School hockey in Northern Ontario, then as an OMHA official, and finally as a coach. He has been a coach in the Waxers organization since 2004.

Ken's coaching philosophy centers on the belief that while everyone plays a different role based on their unique strengths and abilities, we ultimately succeed as a team. Recognizing the significant academic and personal responsibilities that come with the U18 age group, Ken aims to help these young athletes effectively balance their commitment to the team with their other important life pursuits so that they will see success both on and off the ice. Ultimately, Ken's goal is to cultivate not only skilled hockey players, but also individuals who possess a lasting love for the game and will continue to enjoy it for years to come.  ×
