Hockey helmets are essential for helping to protect hockey players of all ages from serious head injuries, but not all helmets are created equally. Trusted manufacturers work with third-party testing and certification organizations like CSA Group to rigorously test helmets for safety, durability, and effectiveness. However some counterfeit helmets have recently been discovered for public sale using forgeries of the CSA label. These helmets have not undergone proper safety standard teesting and pose a potential risk to player safety. 

2025 Equipment Swap Date: Saturday, August 9, 2025 Time: 9:00 am to 11:00 am Location: Mt. Joy Community Centre, Ice Pad  Are you looking to clean out some of that gently used hockey equipment that is too small for your child? Would you like to see it put to good use in our community? Would you like to support those in our community who need a little financial help to play hockey? 

Looking to upgrade your trainer skills? Take a standard first aid course with Rescue 7. Individuals who have successfully completed HTCP Level I and hold certain professional qualifications may also be granted HTCP Level II certification.

Are you 15 or older and passionate about hockey? Looking to stay in the game, earn money, and develop valuable life skills? Join the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) as an official with support from the Markham Waxers!
