April Skill Development Sessions
We are pleased to announce that the Waxers Hockey Development team are offering a series of skill development sessions prior to the evaluation season.


All sessions will have a strict capacity limit and are available only via online registration on a first-come, first-serve basis.

REGISTRATION OPENS SATURDAY, MARCH 28, at 8:00 am (registration links are below)

The clinics are only open to players who played on a Markham Waxers team during the 2025-2026 season and are interested in trying out for a Waxers rep team in their age group. It is also open to rostered players from the Markham Zone feeder centres.

Please note, these sessions are not mandatory and are intended to assist with the preparation phase prior to the start of evaluations. There will be no player evaluations taking place during these ice sessions.

Development Clinics
These clinics are open to all players that are between the U10-U18 age levels. This will be a great clinic to attend if you are looking to prepare for the upcoming REP evaluation season or to stay active once seasons have ended. Coverage will include skating, stick handling, passing, 1 on 1, 2 on 1, battle drills, etc.

Checking Clinic
This clinic will introduce all current U13 aged players (2012 born) as well as current U14 players (2011 born) who may be entering their first season of body contact. Our hockey development staff will be teaching the program straight out of Hockey Canada's Teaching Checking: A Progressive Approach.
