Hagerman's Corner School Markham Township Two centuries ago, the Young family donated this property for the Hagerman Corner School to be built in 1858. Destroyed in a fire in 1888, a new school was built the same year at a cost of $2,324.37. The first school master was Adam MacDonald and John Gibson Sr. served as Chairman of the first school board.
