Ken has been involved in hockey throughout his life, first as a player competing in High School hockey in Northern Ontario, then as an OMHA official, and finally as a coach. He has been a coach in the Waxers organization since 2004.
Ken's coaching philosophy centers on the belief that while everyone plays a different role based on their unique strengths and abilities, we ultimately succeed as a team. Recognizing the significant academic and personal responsibilities that come with the U18 age group, Ken aims to help these young athletes effectively balance their commitment to the team with their other important life pursuits so that they will see success both on and off the ice. Ultimately, Ken's goal is to cultivate not only skilled hockey players, but also individuals who possess a lasting love for the game and will continue to enjoy it for years to come.
