Markham Waxers Minor Atom A Win Founders Cup Gold!
Congratulations to the Minor Atom A team for winning Gold in the 2016-17 Founders Cup!

After playing 6 games in the Round Robin and tying for third place, they moved on to the quarter finals where they defeated the MHL Phantom Wolves 1-0.  In the Semi-Finals they played the Toronto Avalanche and won with a final score of 3-2 after scoring in sudden death OT! 

On April 9th they played an amazing gold medal game against the Vaughan Panthers. The score was tied 2-2 at the end of the third period, putting them in another sudden death, OT situation. A minute and a half into the OT period they scored with an amazing shot from just inside the blue line, winning the gold medal and trophy!

What a way to end the season!  Way to go, Waxers!
