Upon arriving in South Bend, the team was immediately captivated by the campus's beauty. The iconic Golden Dome of Notre Dame loomed large, a symbol of the university's rich history and tradition. They toured the campus, marveling at historic buildings and the vibrant student life. To top it off, they even caught a game to watch the Notre Dame Fighting Irish D1 hockey team take on the USA in their home opener. The energy and atmosphere were electric.

On the ice, the Waxers were a force to be reckoned with. They played with heart, determination, and exceptional skill. Each game was a hard-fought battle, but the Waxers consistently emerged victorious going undefeated in the tournament. The camaraderie among the players deepened as they faced challenges together and celebrated their wins.

The tournament ended in a thrilling championship game. The Waxers were locked in a tight battle with a formidable opponent. With the score tied at the end of the second period, the team dug deep, drawing on their resilience and unwavering belief in themselves. A strong third-period performance, including three goals, propelled the Waxers to a 6-3 victory and the championship title, sending them into a frenzy of celebration.

As the team began their long journey home, they were filled with a sense of accomplishment and a lifetime of memories. The Irish South Bend tournament had been more than just a hockey tournament; it had been an unforgettable experience that forged strong bonds among the players.
