Learn Hockey with the Waxers & First Shift
The Markham Waxers are excited to announce that we will be hosting four NHL/NHLPA First Shift programs for the 2025-2026 season. This low-cost, low-commitment, six-week program is designed to ensure a positive experience for new-to-hockey families.

A welcome event will be held at Milliken Mills Community Centre. Players will be fitted for equipment and information about the upcoming on-ice sessions will be shared.

After the welcome event, the participants will hit the ice for six weeks of instruction on a wide variety of skating, puck handling, passing, and shooting exercises, as well as small area games. On-ice sessions will be held at Centennial Community Centre in Markham.
