The Markham Waxers U15 MD2 team
participated in the 27th annual CTV Toy Mountain campaign supporting the Salvation Army. The team collected toys to donate to local
families in a quest to provide help and hope to families struggling to make
ends meet.
On Friday December 2, the team made their way to the Pride of Canada
Carousel in Markham loaded with gifts for children and teens to help build a
Toy Mountain. And build a mountain they did! Thanks to the support of our players
and their families, along with the distribution by the Salvation Army, children
and teens in York Region will be receiving something special this holiday
season.
The team did enjoy a ride on the Pride of Canada
Carousel as a reward for their efforts!
