U13 AA win London Green & White AA Tournament
Over the Remembrance Day weekend, the Markham Waxers U13 AA team competed in and won the London Green and White AA tournament. 

Twelve teams participated in two divisions. The top two teams in each division advanced to the semis. 
Markham went undefeated in the round robin games earning two wins and two ties. The fourth game of our round robin was a win or go home scenario against a good Halton Hills team. Our team responded to the challenge and punched their ticket to the semis with a 3-1 win.

This earned us second place in our division and a matchup against the host London Green team in the semi finals. After a good battle with London and a 3-1 win, we earned a spot in the finals against Sarnia. 
Our game was scheduled for 6:00 pm Sunday and the team was excited to get another shot at a tournament championship this season. Just before the first period buzzer went, Markham got on the board 1-0. Later on in the second, we got another goal to go up 2-0. Sarnia battled back after some Waxers penalty trouble and got it to 2-1, but we held them off to win the game 2-1.
