2022-2023 Season Structure
At the OHF Semi-Annual meeting of the Members, the OHF Playing Regulations for the 2022-2023 season were passed which included the Seasonal Calendar amendments for Minor Hockey. 

REPRESENTATIVE PLAYER EVALUATION / TRYOUTS

U14-U18

AAA Tryouts begin April 25, 2022 (7 days)
AA Tryouts begin May 2, 2022 (7 days)
A & below Tryouts begin May 9, 2022 (7 days)

Development Phase
Sep. 6 – Sep. 29 (minimum 24 days including maximum 4 Exhibition games)

Tournaments May begin Sep. 30, 2022

U10-U13

Prep Phase May begin Sep. 6th – Minimum 4 sessions

AAA Tryouts begin Sep. 10, 2022 (7 days)
AAA Development Phase Begins Sep. 17 (minimum 13 Days)
Tournaments May begin Sep. 30, 2022

AA Tryouts begin Sep. 17, 2022 (7 days)
AA Development Phase Begins Sep. 24 (minimum 13 Days)
Tournaments May begin Oct. 7, 2022

A & below Tryouts begin Sep. 24, 2022 (7 days)
A & below Development Phase Begins Oct. 1 (minimum 6 Days)
Tournaments May begin Oct. 7, 2022

SEASONAL STRUCTURE
All teams must be engaged in meaningful competition until March 1, 2022 – No teams may be eliminated from competition before this date.

U9 REPRESENTATIVE PROGRAMMING – 2022-23
Effective 2021-22, amendments to OHF Playing Regulations resulted in the elimination of all competitive (Representative) categories at U9. The implementation of this decision was deferred for one season.

Therefore, effective the 2022-23 season, the only categories permitted at U9 will be House League (HL), Local League (LL) and Minor Development (MD).

U9 PROGRAMMING – 2023-24

Moving forward, the OHF will continue towards full compliance with the Hockey Canada Player Pathways and will eliminate all forms of Streaming at U9 and below.

Effective 2023-24, the only categories permitted at U9 will be House League (HL) and Local League (LL).
