St. Thomas Boston Pizza Cup Tournament Finalist
Riding an incredible 10-game winning streak in York Simcoe league play, the Markham Waxers Peewee AE Blue team started the tournament with wins against the Merriton Bulldogs, Fort Erie Meteors and Stouffville Clippers and dropped their final round robin game versus a strong St. Thomas Stars team.
A convincing semi-final win against the Merriton Bulldogs would earn our Waxers a spot in the final with the Stouffville Clippers. The final would prove to be a closely contested re-match with the winning Stouffville goal coming in the dying minutes of the 3rd period. Our boys (and our incredibly supportive fans!) left everything on the ice and we are all proud of our Silver medallists! Go Waxers Go!
