Hello to the Team,
While away on vacation, as you know I looked into a number of hotels (below) and inquired about rooms, and got a rough approximation of how many families might stay over. Here is the run down:
1. Only 4 families have confirmed that they want to stay over. Unfortunately the hotels will not take group bookings for that small number.
2. Also, there is very limited availability (I’ve literally called every hotel in Peterborough).
So Action Items for those who want to stay over:
1. Please call as soon as possible to book a room. I do have some confirmations of availability, but again was not able to put a soft hold on much of anything in Peterborough itself:
a. Holiday Inn – 150 George Street – they have a few rooms left, but you must book directly (as in only 3 or 4). - 705 743 1144
b. Best Western Otonabee Inn - They have 4 rooms on the 15th and 16ths (Thursday and Friday, but none on Saturday). I have held 4 rooms (they are the only hotel that would), under ‘Phil Guillard’. If you wish to book please phone - 705 742 3454
c. Comfort Hotel & Suites – They are going to call me back tomorrow with availability, but given the other hotels I will assume its low, however, if you wish to book call - 705 740 7000
2. The following are sold out – so to save you time and not bother calling – Super 8, Quality Inn, Peterborough Inn & Suites
3. So to be clear – for families that wish to stay over (from the responses last week, only 4 planned to), please phone direct asap to the hotels listed above if you want to stay right in Peterborough.
4. There are other hotels but they are a little further out (as in 20 min or so), listed on my email below that you may be able to try.
