Minor Peewee AA Mary Parkinson Memorial Champs
The Minor Peewee AA team were crowned champions this past weekend after an impressive showing in Richmond Hill, securing the tournament title with a 3-1 victory over the Burlington Eagles in the Sunday finale.
The Waxers claimed first place during the round robin after going 3-0-1 over the first three days, with wins over Duffield (6-0), Markham Islanders (6-1), Sudbury (7-0) and a 3-3 tie against Burlington. The boys started Sunday with a 5-2 semi-final win to gain a rematch with Burlington in the final. Following a strong start by their opponents, the boys began to take control of the final game and earned a well-deserved championship to start the new season.
