Minor Bantam MD 2 September Showdown Champs!
Congratulations to the boys and coaching staff of the Markham Waxers Minor Bantam MD 2 Blue team for winning the Markham Waxers September Showdown. What a great way to kick-off the 2019-2020 season with a Waxers winning weekend.
The team went 2-1 in round rRobin play securing a semi-final game against the undefeated Hamilton Huskies. The Waxers beat Hamilton by a score of 4-1 and then shut-out the Stouffville Clippers 3-0 in the final to capture the championship. The team had great contributions from all players and stellar goaltending to bring home the Gold!
Way to go Waxers MD Blue! Players, coaches and parents are looking forward to a great hockey season.
