Minor Atom AA 2015 King Clancy Champs
The Markham Waxers Minor Atom AA team participated in the Pro Hockey Life King Clancy GTHL Tournament held over a 10 week period from mid February to April 11th. They faced several GTHL teams throughout the 10 week tournament.
The team finished 4th in the round robin play out of 11 teams. Through hard work in the quarter finals and semi final games, their victories put them in the final Championship game facing the Mississauga Jets, a team that defeated them in the round robin. The Minor Atom AA Waxers triumphed with a solid defensive effort, great scoring and a shut-out. A 3-0 game for the Waxers and a tournament win!
The teams hard work and determination brought them victory and are the Minor Atom AA King Clancy Cup Champions. What a way to end the season! A huge thank you to the coaching staff and all players for a well fought battle throughout the tournament!
The Minor Atom AA Markham Waxers are Anthony Guard, Eric Wu, Bobby Bertsoulakis, Stephan Papaikonomou, Alex Hubbell, Matthew Konkine, Julian Colangelo, Taylor MacDonald, Joshua Schmidt, David Ursu, Ethan Sneek, Adriano Colangelo, Nicholas Daniel, Liam Weir and Max McMahon. The coaches are Trevor Weir, Lou Altomare, Quinn McMahon and Colin MacDonald.
